Re: Equipment Xu Xin

Hello EmRatThich,

I’m contacting you because I have a question about Xu Xin’s equipment.
I saw on your site that he was playing with a Powerplay-X superman bluesponge coating in his forehand and a DHS Hurricane 3 orange sponge in his backhand.

Can you tell me how thick these are?
Can you also tell me how the boost works? Should you boost one side of the racket or both?

Thank you in advance for your response.

Yours truly!

Mr. Longuet

Yes, he is playing with PowerPlay-X.

The thickness is 2.1mm, Yes, you should boost, you should apply the booster on the sponge of the rubber.

I have a video about that, you can search "booster pingsunday" on Google.

Thanks you very mutch for your answer. I have one last piece of advice.
I plan to go a DHS H3 orange sponge in reverse and a DHS H3 blue sponge in forehand.
But I can't decide on the blade. I studied your site a lot and I Saw that Xu Xin was playing with a Stiga OFF+ blade. Ma Lin was playing with an extra Yasaka OFF.
Yet on your site you advise for chinese rubbers an OFF- blade ?

    Could you help me ?

    Thank you in advance.

Yes, OFF- blade is for the small ball.
Now the ball is bigger, so you can use the OFF, OFF+ blade.
