optimal weight for penhold blade

Good afternoon emartthich,

I am a fan of your table tennis videos. I enjoy watching the tips and tricks for improving table tennis technique. However, I realized penhold techniques are not covered due to the uncommon style of usage.

I realized that the optimum weight of racket is only applicable to shakehands only.
May I request that you make a video on the optimum weight of racket for penholders please?
May I also request that you make more videos on the uncommon techniques of penhold as it is
rarely covered and unheard of.

Finding techniques and equipment review on penhold is very rare on the internet and it requires a Chinese medium to access such great information. It would be of great benefit to create more penhold videos on both techniques and equipment overview for everyone to learn and share their opinions on.

Thank you for your time.

Yours sincerely,
Wong Jia Jie

Thank you for your kind words and your support for PingSunday! I appreciate your interest in penhold techniques, and I'm glad to hear that you enjoy my table tennis videos.

You've raised an excellent point about the lack of coverage on penhold techniques and equipment. Penhold is indeed a unique and less commonly discussed style, but it's an important part of our sport. I'll certainly take your request into consideration and plan to create more videos specifically tailored to penhold techniques and equipment reviews.

Now, regarding the optimal weight of the racket for penholders, it's true that the standard recommendations often apply to shakehand players. However, for penhold players, it's essential to find a balance that suits your playing style. Generally, a slightly lighter blade with the right rubber can provide you with better control and maneuverability, allowing for quick wrist movements, which are typical in penhold play.

I'll delve deeper into this topic in a future video to provide you with more detailed insights and recommendations. Stay tuned to PingSunday for this valuable information and more content on penhold techniques.

Once again, thank you for your support and valuable suggestion. Keep practicing and enjoy your table tennis journey!

    Best regards,
    Coach EmRatThich (PingSunday)
